David Ngog believes that the Anfield side needs some new players if they are to challenge for the title.
He said that it was a good thing for Liverpool to make it to the Champions League as this will allow them to sign new players.
Indeed Jurgen Klopp stated last year that it was difficult for Liverpool to attract quality players as they were not in the Champions League.
David Ngog believes that now they do not have any excuses and that they should be able to invest massively in the club. He said that they already have a good central core, but it is important to add quality as well as quantity if they want to challenge on all fronts.
David Ngog said that the Champions League is a demanding tournament and that you need to have enough players to cater for the Premier League, the Champions League as well as the domestic cup competition.
For him, he believes that Klopp has already identified the players that may help him move the club forward and it is up to the Liverpool transfer committee to sign the players.
Ngog thinks that Jurgen Klopp is the right man to bring the title back to Anfield, but it is up to the club to back him in the transfer market. The French player said that Liverpool fans have been waiting for the title for so long and it is important that the players give their best to win it.
He feels the club has been progressing steadily ever since the German manager took over and that now is the time to take it to the next level. He said that Liverpool needs some world class players across the pitch so as to able to win the Premier League title.
